Suggest-It("we", "our", or "us") is a social recommendation app that lets you share and discover trusted suggestions from people you know. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and optional display name and profile photo. If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address from Google.
Suggestions, ratings, descriptions, photos, comments, and replies you create are stored and displayed to other users according to your privacy settings.
We store follow relationships, likes, saves, reposts, and mentions so we can show you a personalised feed and notify people you interact with.
Location is used only when you actively set it in the Explore page to find nearby suggestions. We do not track your location in the background or without your action.
If you enable push notifications we store a device push token to deliver them. We do not share this token with third parties.
We may collect basic technical information such as app version, device type, and error logs to diagnose crashes and improve the app. We do not sell this data.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements.
By default your profile, suggestions, and ratings are visible to all Suggest-It users. Your email address is never shown publicly.
If your account is set to private, your suggestions are only visible to approved followers.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and suggestions are permanently removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.
Suggest-It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
